SAFED OXYCAD®-Process for Continuous Nitrocarburising
The OXYCAD® process was specifically designed for Nitrocarburising in mesh belt furnaces and proved very succesful in many applications. The process is based on the principle of gaseous Nitrocarburising and achieves a very high surface hardness due to the creation of a compound layer out of nitrides and carbonitrides, as well as a diffusion layer. SAFED did major development work in order to allow fully automated process control and supervision, a prime requirement for a broad base industrial use. The furnace design, featuring gastight alloy muffle, gas circulation fans, special zone separation boxes and an elaborate process control system all ensure the highest degree of process stability and reproducibility. The furnace length is divided into several separate control zones where the individual process steps take place in sequence. Each control zone includes a gas circulation fan and its own gas feeding system that allows precise injection of the required process gases |
